The North East Dance championships are slightly different to your average competitions in the sense that it is not split up into different categories! This dance championship is open to any dance style from the age of 6 - 20 years. Dancers will be called in order of registration to perform their routine, once the first 20 performers have danced, a limited number will be selected to go through to the final. This process is then repeated throughout the day until all performers have danced.

The North East Dance Championships is open to any of the following dance styles:

Ballet, Tap, Modern, Streetdance, Hip Hop, Freestyle, Latin, Ballroom, Acro-Gymnastics, Bollywood, Folk, Traditional, Contemporary and any other style that is not listed above.
